Josh sees a fracture in the EU...
Once again the European Union has stretched out its arms to welcome 10 new pawn states in Eastern Europe. And yet again the EU faces a problem. These 10 puppets states of European socialism are relatively poor compared to the economies of France, Germany, and Great Britain; all of which are struggling to survive under the enormous weight of their social welfare systems. It's sort of like the analogous situation of the so-called class warfare in the United States. The rich against the poor. The well off against the downtrodden. In Europe's case, it is the developed Western European citizens against the former Soviet Bloc governments. The sentiment is so strong in Great Britain that a political party has formed which holds a vehemently anti-EU platform. The UK Independence Party was founded in 1993. It has just recently become the third largest political party in Great Britain, which the pro-EU crowd sees as a problem to their vision of one great United States of Europe. The problem for the one-Europe dreamers is that the EU parliamentary elections are this year, and the goal of the UK Independence Party candidates for the EU parliament is to get themselves elected and subsequently eradicate their new jobs in Brussels. European political forecast: Look for these British renegades to be presented by the mainstream European political elite in a not-so-friendly manner. They will be berated and made to be American wannabes. Great Britain could be the next America Junior (after Canada). Because a healthy number of Britons seek independence from the fiscal whoring of the EU, greater Europe will scorn Great Britain. If these EU parliamentary hopefuls are unsuccessful in their bid to save Britain from the socialist welfare system of the EU, the flow of money out of Britain will make Ross Perot's Giant Sucking Sound look like a light breeze over the Texas plains.
